Scottsdale Airport, a 2023 Scottsdale History Hall of Fame inductee, is among the top 10 busiest single-runway airports globally. Originally Thunderbird Airfield Number Two, it trained WWII pilots and later hosted a technical trade school and Thunderbird Academy.
